A special gift lets you honor someone who made a difference in your life, or plan a gift that keeps supporting Fulton students long into the future. The Foundation manages a number of scholarships and memorial funds, and you can direct your gift to the school, program or scholarship you care about most.
Ways to Make a Lasting Gift
Memorial & Tribute GiftsHonor a teacher, classmate or loved one
A memorial or tribute gift is a meaningful way to honor someone who valued education. Give online, by mail or by phone, and tell us whose name the gift is in. You can also direct it to a school, program or scholarship that meant something to them.
Gifts of Appreciated StockGive more while keeping your cash
If you own securities that have grown in value since you bought them, giving the stock directly can be more valuable than giving cash. You keep your cash for other uses, and your gift goes further for Fulton students. Contact us for transfer instructions.
Life Insurance & Charitable TrustsTurn a policy into a much larger gift
Name the Fulton Public Schools Foundation as the beneficiary or co-beneficiary of a life insurance policy to make a gift far larger than its original cost. If you need income now or in retirement, a charitable remainder trust can pay you or a loved one for a set period, with the remainder supporting Fulton students.
Retirement Plan GiftsIRA, 401(k) or pension
If your IRA, pension or other retirement plan holds more than you will need, a gift from the plan can reduce potential taxes on those funds while providing lasting support for Fulton schools.
Wills & Living TrustsLeave a legacy for future Fulton students
A simple addition to your will or trust lets you provide for your loved ones and support Fulton students for years to come. You can leave a dollar amount, a specific property, a percentage of your estate or what remains after your loved ones are cared for.

In Their Memory
Memorial gifts have honored members of the Fulton schools family in lasting ways. We remember them with gratitude.
Robert “Bob” Hogan
Bob Hogan came to Fulton in 1986 and served as principal of Center School, McIntire School and, for one year, Fulton High School before retiring in 2008. He wrote grants, started after-school tutoring at McIntire and was named Missouri’s National Distinguished Principal in 1999. After his passing in 2016, memorial gifts in his name bought a bass drum and carrier for the Fulton High School band, and his family directed the rest to the Garner Music Fund for scholarships.
Shari Means
A loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, friend and educator, Shari Means is remembered through the Shari Means Memorial Read-Aloud Libraries. From 2018 to 2021, memorial gifts in her name gave Fulton elementary teachers classroom libraries of read-aloud books, presented each year by her parents, Charlie and Jo James.
