Mission & History

Our mission

The Fulton Public Schools Foundation is an independent nonprofit organization providing financial support to enhance the educational experience in the Fulton Public Schools.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit established in 2003 to secure resources that enhance educational opportunities for Fulton students. While our sole purpose is to support the Fulton Public Schools, we are a separate organization with our own volunteer board, working alongside district teachers and administrators to identify the areas of greatest need.

What we do

We build self-sustaining endowment funds and annual funds that support projects designed to enrich the quality of education for Fulton students, from innovative classroom projects and equipment to scholarships for graduating seniors.

Classroom Grants$500 to $1,000 for innovative classroom projects

Every year Fulton Public Schools teachers apply for Foundation grants to bring new projects, tools and experiences to their students: innovative classroom or schoolwide projects and classroom equipment that the school budget can't stretch to cover.

ScholarshipsHelping Fulton High School seniors take their next step

The Foundation awards and manages scholarships for graduating Fulton High School seniors, including several that honor educators and community members and awards for students planning careers in teaching.

Founding 50 EndowmentA permanent fund that keeps giving

Donors to the Foundation's first organized campaign created the Founding 50 Endowment Fund. The principal of their gifts is never spent; only the interest income supports the Foundation's programs, initiatives and operations.

Special GiftsMemorial, tribute and planned gifts

A memorial or tribute gift is a lasting way to honor a family member, an educator, a classmate or another loved one. The Foundation also accepts gifts of stock, life insurance and other planned gifts.

How you can help

The Foundation Board invites all Fulton Public Schools alumni and friends to join us in supporting quality education for our students. Every gift, large or small, goes to work for Fulton classrooms and graduates.
